Finally a competition where the athletes can choose the board they want to ride on! We are all waiting to see which boards make it to the podium in Miami on July11th. Will it be the original Flyboard, the Jet Blade, the Dolphin Board, the Mach2, or maybe the brand new Jet Deck from Defy Waterflight. This will be very telling if one particular board makes a clean sweep in the competition.
Sounds like there will be a ton of fun events taking place, an 1800 meter relay, best tandem trick, freestyle, an agility course, and a big air competition. We also cant wait to see the game of Gladiator Dodgeball. I know a few Hydroflight facilities who cant wait to throw down against each other. I personally would like to see a one on one game of joust. I would definitely sign up for that event. I also hear there is going to a world record attempt for the most backflips in 120 seconds. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the current record is set at 10 flips in 60 seconds set by Stephen Prayas in 2012. This will probably be beaten since we saw Franky Zapata do 26 flips in 60 seconds on the TV show Stan Lee's Superhumans. Too bad Guinness Book of World Records wasn't there to officiate that attempt.
